The Simpsons: (Nearly) Complete Series – Review –
let's take a look The Simpsons follows a nuclear dysfunctional family of five that live in Springfield a town populated by an incredible amount of characters each episode is basically satire in American culture and society by Vanetta issues such as violence to animal abuse.
In my opinion the Simpsons features on the greatest writing I've ever seen in a sitcom most episodes are credibly witty entertaining and hilarious particularly the first nine seasons what I wasn't expecting was the emotional connection that I would develop for so many characters particularly Homer Lisa and Principal Skinner.
It's such a large community characters are surprisingly well developed for example the Simpson found in themselves to have easily devolved into generic stereotypes the fact that they received more character development than the majority of sitcom characters thanks to rich background histories is a testament to the show's incredible writing.
Especially with its dialogue however there's a major decline after season 9 while the show used to focus on character driven narratives it shifts to the crazy antics of weaker series such as Family Guy and American Dad that set seasons 10 to 18 do have some good episodes as well they're just harder to come by.
The Simpsons cast is arguably as strong as the right each perfectly portrayed the character that was on the page to begin with dan Castellaneta plays several different characters such as Homer grandpa Krusty and groundskeeper Willie the way Dan slips into each role was remarkable.
I would say that he's one of the best voice actors in the business venters yeardley Smith is Lisa and Julie Kavner as Marge and the Bouvier sisters while each actress easily brings their characters to life their limited range made the efforts feel lacking compared to the rest of the cast on the other hand.
Nancy Cartwright who played Ralph Todd Nelson and birth was absolutely incredible as is Hank Azaria's moe chief Wiggum Kapoor and many others neither quite reaches the level of dan or Harry Shearer who plays mr. burns Smithers Ned Flanders Principal Skinner Otto and many other characters.
I honestly think that Ares the greatest voice actor on the show his characters I dig verbs and immensely entertaining if there's any point in which the Simpsons suffers it's in the production almost every season isn't standard definition and the animation is downright poor.
The first few season however the way the colors are employed allowed us to show to distinguish itself from other series they bring The Simpsons to life the art direction for every episode is also lackluster as it misses a lot of traditional close-ups that would have benefited from but then there's a main theme by Danny Elfman and several musical numbers that help me go for some of the shortcomings of the citizens.
The Simpsons is a superb series that perfectly balances being a kids show as well as an adult cartoon despite its declining quality over the years I can easily recommend buying the first nine seasons even if you're just a casual event The Simpsons gets an 8.5 out of 10.
